Springfield, MO – The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame is set to host its annual Induction Banquet on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at the Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO.
This prestigious event, presented by B.A.S.S., LLC, will honor three remarkable individuals—Glen Andrews, Bruce Holt, and Michael Iaconelli—for their significant contributions to the sport of bass fishing.
Honoring the Inductees
Glen Andrews, a champion from Lead Hill, Ark., clinched multiple state championships between 1962 and 1966 and has been a runner-up in the World Championship. Known as a mentor to many fishing greats, Andrews’ influence on modern bass fishing is unparalleled.
Bruce Holt (1948 – 2021) played a pivotal role in the success of the bass fishing industry. An avid participant in local bass tournaments, Holt’s efforts have left an indelible mark on the sport.
Mike Iaconelli, hailing from New Jersey, brought a unique urban flair to a sport traditionally dominated by southern anglers. He holds the distinction of being the only angler in history to have won the B.A.S.S. Federation.
The event, which typically draws around 300 attendees, will feature a plaque unveiling ceremony presented by Phoenix Boats, the induction of Hall of Fame nominees, and a dinner.
Additionally, attendees can participate in a popular online auction presented by Major League Fishing.
