Clear water fishing

Bluegill stay in or very close to heavy cover in clear water conditions. You should approach them stealthily and use baits and lures that look as realistic as possible. Red, brown, silver or black colors can work very well for clear water gills. 

The very best lures to use for pike in clear water are swimbaits, softbaits, and crankbaits with an authentic pattern and swimming action. Natural lure colors that resemble the pike’s prey, such as white, silver, green, or black, have proven to be most effective.
