Pike fishing

Pike can be found all over the Northern hemisphere, but only in a few places can you actually fish for pike in salty water.

It is fishing with live or dead bait with 2 treble hooks and a wire leader, using a combination of a tip up and a medium to heavy ice fishing rod, where the tip up merely functions as a bite indicator.

Northern pike have plenty of smaller needle-like and larger fang-like teeth. In fact, they can have up to 700 of them, and all of these teeth are razor-sharp. Pike do not shed all their teeth during winter, and they do not bite humans, but they can certainly hurt and injure a fisherman’s hand.
